car troubles with Kids in the Hall

If there is one thing I’m unabashedly clear about, it’s my lack of knowledge for all things under the hood. I can hardly point out the tires on my car on a good day. So it was with quiet resignation, as my Volvo would not start in a Best Buy parking lot, that I stepped outside my rig, walked around to the freshly popped hood, and hadn’t an inkling of a clue of what to look for, poke at, touch lightly, wrench and/or prod, etc., but I did it regardless. It’s the effort that counts, right?
I wish I had Scott Thompson’s attitude in this Kids in the Hall clip:

Wow, this is exactly the equivalent of my car care ability.

Wilford Brimley, the pronunciation of diabetes, and Peanut Butter Cap N'Crunch

As is often the case, our lunch today ended on the topic of celebrity mispronunciations of incurable diseases. Oh, sorry, this was the first time that happened.
The spotlight was shining brightly on one Wilford Brimley and his uncanny ability to pronounce “diabetes” as “diabeetus”, repeatedly. Strangely, I currently have a moustache that’s oddly similar to Brimley’s, although not as finely aged and/or distinguished. A glimpse of my future? Perhaps.
Anywho, someone with far too much time created this tribute:

And then there’s this:

God, I loved this cereal.
