A few posts ago I ruminated on beards, the growth and styling, the love/hate relationship, and I think the new direction for facial hair, the cutting, or not-cutting edge, as the case may be, is really going to be something like this:

I know I’m growing mine out with this intention, although I’m thinking of a crisp under-chin part, sweeping chops flanking both cheeks, rising to the crown of my head, adjoining in a taut french braid trailing back, back, back down my neck to my back.
