why I like: the League of Gentlemen

Monday deserves some League of Gentlemen love. I’ve stated before that this comedy series export from the UK is (was) one of the best you’ll set your eyes on. Find it, rent it, watch it. You ought to enjoy and if not, I’m fearful for your soul. This smattering of clips is sure to please.

1.) The Easter Message

2.) Mr. Chinnery, this guy loves helping animals.

3.) More Mr. Chinnery, because laughing at botched veterinary work never gets old

comedy: The League of Gentlemen - Best UK Comedy Series Ever?

The League of Gentlemen is quite possibly the best comedic series I’ve seen come out of the UK. Now that’s saying a lot considering the wealth of comedic gold that the sweet little island has produced over the years, I know. But there’s just something special about The League of Gentlemen. Absurd, hilarious, genius. It just needs to be seen. If I ever become a multi-millionaire I’ll be sure to use my fortune to bribe the Kids in the Hall to reunite and team up with the League of Gentlemen, even if for just one sketch. See for yourself:

1.) Maybe the best place to start: Tubbs and Edward

2.) Mickey Love at the Job Club

3.) Papa Lazarou - You’re My Wife Now

4.) Who can Resist - more Tubbs and Edward

What’s going on? What’s all this shouting? We’ll have no trouble here.
