I recently realized that most of the “sports” I enjoy playing these days allow for the consumption of beer during the course of the game/match/battle. While competitive beer drinking would make for an entertaining sport that I’d probably excel in, I fear the negative impact to what’s left of my fitness.
Perhaps I should step-up to the challenge of european soccer, or futbol, as they call it. As evidenced in this clip, it looks like a lot of hard work:
Certain aspects of the classic Mr. Show ‘The Bob Lamonta Story’ sketch came up naturally in conversation today at lunch as something one of the crew recollected from youth, which is a little surprising once you actually watch the clip. I instantly made the connection between the experience and this absurd sketch, much to my amusement. Who knew Mr. Show traveled down Aristotle’s mimetic path?
