Public transportation is the great equalizer. As gas prices soar, more and more people are heading to local bus stops and train stations, myself included. For those good citizens used to the comforts of their personal vehicle, I think there may be some rough adjustments. Rarely does public transportation let one down when it comes to the absurd. I’ve recently had the honor of politely denying a crackhead’s repeated request to borrow my phone to make an “important call”, and I’ve had more unpleasant odors pass my nose than I care to recall, but luckily, oh so luckily, I haven’t experienced anything like this Dave Chappelle bit:
