Ah, clever word play and crude humor, is there anything better? It’s a simple formula for chuckles and one SNL has used effectively to great ends. The joke builds slowly, the audience finally catches on, and then the pun is driven into the ground for as many laughs as can be had.

On occasion I’ve been know to spend far too much time at Instant Domain Search checking for any number of ridiculous url’s. At my weaker moments I tend to buy the one’s I like (dolphinchildren.com anybody?) but I’m often surprised by just how many of the wack-job things that I think of and enter into the domain search are taken. Frankly it’s a little sad, a little shocking, and always reminds me of this great SNL commercial for Dillon & Edwards Co, an investment firm that unfortunately waited a little too long to snag a url for their website.
